Kate Middleton and Prince William will spend the next month and a half on break from royal duties, and they aren't waiting too long to get out of England. The Sun reports that the couple is set to go back on vacation to Mustique again, a private island in the Caribbean. They went last year during Prince George's birthday on July 22 (believe it or not, he's turning six in a couple days), but dates for this year's trip haven't been set yet. Their kids Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will presumably join them like they did last year.

A royal source told The Sun of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's vacation plans: “They are going to Mustique again. It is incredibly private and incredibly discreet but not remote. They know and trust the staff who work there, and they are creatures of habit. Kate used to go there, the Middletons used to go there. The family loves it.”

The royal couple's vacation comes just as Kate made headlines this week for her and Meghan Markle's growing friendship. ELLE.com reported last Saturday, following the women's Wimbledon appearance that day, that Meghan becoming a mother brought the two duchesses closer together.

Kate was extremely supportive of Meghan during her pregnancy: “Catherine and Meghan enjoy seeing each other, and motherhood has definitely brought them closer together,” a source told ELLE.com then.

The two duchesses had been planning their joint appearance at the Wimbledon Ladies' Singles Final for some time. “Kate and Meghan had always planned to attend the final together," a source told ELLE.com. 'Not only is it something that they enjoy, it’s also a chance to remind people that the tabloid stories about their relationship have been wide of the mark."

People reported yesterday that Kate and Meghan's relationship strengthened when the two separated professionally. Meghan no longer shares a staff with Kate and now lives in Windsor rather than next door to Kate and William at Kensington Palace.

Initially, “there was undue pressure where the whole world wanted them to be best friends,” an insider told the outlet.

But now that more time has passed, and Meghan and Kate have had a little distance, the separation is “allowing them more time to be like family” rather than colleagues, a royal source said. “There is a sense of [Meghan and Kate’s] relationship strengthening.”
