This morning, Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived into Dundee in Scotland for an official visit to the V&A Museum, of which the duchess is a patron.

For the occasion, Kate re-wore one of her favourite Alexander McQueen pieces-a striking tartan coat dress, which she paired with black and green accessories. Per Twitter user @Emma4AboutRoyal, the Duchess of Cambridge's tartan coat dress was "debuted in 2012 and worn again in 2013," and it's clear that Kate is very attached to the classic look.

Kate completed the outfit with her beloved Tod's heels, and carried a Manu Atelier "Bold" micro leather and suede box bag, per @KateMCambridge. And it was impossible to miss her stunning sapphire drop earrings, which once belonged to Princess Diana.

Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have regularly worn Princess Diana's jewellery, which is the perfect tribute to Prince Harry and Prince William's mother. This isn't the first time we've seen Kate wearing this particular pair of earrings either, which match her engagement ring perfectly.

According to blog Kate's Closet, the earrings were originally studs which "were remodelled into drop earrings" for the Duchess of Cambridge. Per the blog, Prince William gifted the jewels to his wife, who has been photographed wearing them on several occasions.

Kate regularly channels her late mother-in-law's style, from recreating iconic polka dot looks, to rocking smart suits just like Diana did. And it's touching to see Diana's incredible jewellery collection cherished by her daughter-in-laws.
