Kate Middleton melts hearts with sweet gesture to little boy

Just when we thought Kate Middleton couldn't do anymore to earn her 'angel status', she proves us wrong.

ICYMI, yesterday the newly-appointed Princess of Wales met with young royal fans whilst on a visit to the Colham Manor Children’s Centre in Hillingdon as part of her role as patron of the Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA).

During the meet and greet, Kate crouched down to chat with three-year-old Akeem about remembrance poppies. After asking him if he had one, the little boy replied that he "hadn’t found one" just yet.

"Would you like mine? You can have my poppy. Shall I see if I can get it out?" she responded, before gifting Akeem with her own poppy. The three-year-old eagerly took the poppy as the Princess explained the special meaning behind it.

"It’s remembering all the soldiers who died in the war," Kate said. "There you go, that’s for you. Look after it!"

The adorable moment was, of course, captured on camera and fans quickly took to social media to comment. "What a memory for him to treasure!" someone tweeted, as someone else simply said: "Catherine ❤️".

Elsewhere, King Charles III and Camilla Parker Bowles also had an interaction with a young royal fan, stopping to take a photo with him after they were pelted with eggs by a protestor.

"We were very happy to have helped young resident Jason, who is visually impaired, to meet the King and Queen Consort during todays royal visit," a tweet said of the special moment. "Jason said it he felt 'calm, happy and excited' and got to hold their hands."

BRB, off for a cry...
