Kate Hudson announces her engagement to boyfriend Danny Fujikawa
Hollywood star Kate Hudson has announced that she is now engaged to her long-term boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, after a romantic mountain-top proposal.
The actress posted a photo of the pair sharing an intimate moment while she subtly showed off an understated engagement ring. She captioned the photo: "Let's go!"
Hudson has been dating musician Danny Fujikawa since 2016 and they announced the birth of their first child, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa, in 2018.
Thousands commented on the post to offer their congratulations.
Hudson's mother and Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn wrote: "Go my sweethearts! GO!"
Fujikawa's step-sister Sara Foster wrote: "Whoa. It's official… Not gonna lie, been a hard secret to keep. I may have slipped and told a few people."
His other step-sister Erin Foster added: "Finally we are officially sisters!!"
Gwyneth Paltrow wrote: "LETS DO THIS." News anchor Katie Couric added: "SO happy for you two, congratulations!!! XO."
Among the well-wishers were also Friends star Courteney Cox, supermodel Naomi Campbell, Pirates of the Carribean's Orlando Bloom, Hidden Figures lead Octavia Spencer and Avengers star Josh Brolin.
In an interview with Women's Health back in 2018, Hudson opened up about her relationship with Fujikawa. "I've got the best man," she said.
"It's the first time I feel like I have a real teammate in this. We're able to pick up where the other one has to leave off."
"His number one priority is family," she continued. "And when we have our disputes, I feel the thing that allows us to get through them is having the same ultimate goal, and that includes being in each other's life. It just feels so nice."
Hudson was one of many famous faces at last night's Met Gala (September 13), where she wore a custom pale pink ensemble designed by Michael Kors. She also appeared to be sporting her engagement ring at the event.
