Social distancing is changing up all of our routines in a big way and with places like salons and hairdressers closed, some of us may be getting out the scissors for an at-home haircut at some point.
Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway has just poked fun at our newfound situation with a hilarious parenting meme – and kids all over will not be impressed.
Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-two shared a meme celebrating the “return of parents as hairdressers” featuring a host of rather dodgy looking haircuts in old yearbook photos.
Bowl cut anyone?
She captioned it: “Been doing everything I can to keep my kids calm about #covid_19 - seeing this on @jo_elvin ‘s @insta just struck fear into my 14 year olds heart ….”
Kate’s fans are certainly loving the joke anyway with several taking to the comments.
One fan wrote: “Missing you on GMB. Stay safe. And also this will be my youngest in a few weeks he already said mummy you aren’t Edward scissor hands.”
While another joked: “Going through the bowls in my cupboard to see which best will fit my new hair style.”
Another added: “I did my sons on Sunday. I’d even surprised my self by the results, not as butchered as I thought it would be.”
The 52-year-old is mum to 14-year-old Darcey and 10-year-old Billy with her husband Derek Draper.
Let’s hope their hair remains intact over the next while!
