Kate Garraway has shared a sweet clip of her son Bill avoiding homeschooling - echoing the frustration and challenges facing parents up and down the country.

The Good Morning Britain presenter posted the clip on Instagram of her 11 year old son telling the camera he had decided to climb the sofa in the family living room instead of online learning.

She wrote: "Where have you got to with home schooling in your house? This is where we are! Think it was me that learnt a lesson here - don’t mess with an 11 yr old with a light sabre!!!"

"Don't tell anyone but I'm supposed to be online schooling, but I'm watching TV OK?" says Bill in the clip. Kate is then heard asking, "Bill, are you actually doing any work? Are you sure?", before bursting into the room and throwing balls at him.

Kate then exits, laughing, and pursued by Bill clutching a toy lightsaber from Star Wars.

Yesterday (11 February) Kate revealed she hasn't been able to see husband Derek Draper since Christmas.

"I haven’t been able to see him, I haven’t seen him since Christmas which means he is back in a situation of looking at strangers in masks," she told viewers on GMB. "I think that is the situation for everybody who has someone they love in hospital at the moment, it’s not just him."
