Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has received support from her I'm a Celebrity campmate Caitlyn Jenner during her husband Derek Draper's ongoing battle with coronavirus.

The former Keeping Up with the Kardashians star reflected on how she's been keeping in touch with Garraway while chatting with the Daily Star Online recently, stating that what the family is going through is a "tragedy."

"Kate, when she came home, her husband and coronavirus – it's been a tragedy," Jenner told the publication. "I talked to her the other day and as soon as we got on the phone, that voice of hers, I was like, 'Oh my God, that voice of hers, it has a familiarity.'"

Last month, Garraway revealed she was "taking a bit of time off" to help her children Billy, 11, and Darcey, 14, prepare to go back to school.

The longtime ITV host had returned to the breakfast programme just a few weeks earlier in July, having been off work since Derek was taken into hospital due to COVID-19 complications back in March.

"I just want to say thanks to all of you for being absolutely brilliant since I've come back through challenging times," she explained. "Everyone here, [Alex Beresford], Ben [Shephard], Adil [Ray] and all of the people off and on screen have been amazing.

"The nice thing is everyone talks about ITV and television being this brutal business and it's not, it's a family and you've all been amazing."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
