Kaley Cuoco: 'My pre-stylist days were truly frightening'

Kaley Cuoco believes the fashion choices she made before she hired a stylist were "truly frightening".

The Big Bang Theory star always looks flawless when she steps onto the red carpet thanks to her stylist Brad Goreski, however, she has now admitted that wasn't the case at the start of her career when she took her looks into her own hands.

During an interview with W magazine, the actress recalled how she made a bad call on her hairstyle just before she stepped out of the limo at her first big red carpet event - the People's Choice Awards - when she was in TV sitcom 8 Simple Rules.

"My pre-stylist days are truly frightening," she shared. "I dressed myself. I remember I had a pink long dress, and I had gotten my hair blown out, but for some reason, I put it up in a ponytail in the car. I didn't have a publicist at that time, no one to say, 'What the hell, why the ponytail?' I put it up in the limo, and I was like, ‘This is better. This is better.’

"I remember it like it was yesterday, and being there with my first TV family was really cool, but I don't know what I was thinking. There were a lot of those 'I don't know what I was thinking' pre-carpet moments."

Kaley is likely to be one of the stars on the red carpet at the 2021 Emmys next month. She is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for The Flight Attendant.
