Kaley Cuoco and husband of just over three years Karl Cook are the latest A-list couple to announce they have sadly split after going in "opposite directions".

The Flight Attendant star and professional equestrian, who reportedly first met at a horse show in early 2016, shared the news via a joint statement.

"Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realised that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions," they told PEOPLE. "We have both shared so much of our journey publicly so while we would prefer to keep this aspect of our personal life private, we wanted to be forthcoming in our truth together. There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary."

The pair added that they have an "immense amount of respect and consideration for one another" and will not be adding any further comment.

Kaley and Karl began dating in 2016 and made their Instagram debut that April with a sweet shot of them together, which the actor captioned: "That's what happy looks like."

Karl popped the question the following November and they got married in June 2018 in front of family, friends and her Big Bang Theory co-stars at a fancy ceremony held at a ranch in San Diego, California.

One of Kaley's last Instagram posts featuring Karl was uploaded back in June when she marked their three-year wedding anniversary.

Alongside a shot of them taken in New York, she shared: "NY, June 30th 2016 is the year we met. 2 years to the day before we got married and now 3 years married! Why have you stayed married to me for so long?! I’m sincerely impressed @mrtankcook lol I love you oh so much you have no idea… happy anniversary!!! ❤️❤️❤️."

Following the huge success of The Flight Attendant, Kaley's been busy filming a new romantic comedy called Meet Cute with Saturday Night Live's Pete Davidson.

Here's hoping Kaley and Karl are both doing okay.
