Justin Bieber has defended his wife Hailey against an online targeting, sharing details of the incident so his followers 'get an idea of what we face on a day to day'.

On Friday, the 'Monster' singer shared a video of a woman speaking to camera, urging fellow internet users to 'go after' Hailey during a planned Instagram Live and 'f***ing bombard' her with comments 'about Jelena [the former couple name fans gave Justin and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez] and how Selena is better'.

Before he shared a clip of the video of the unidentified woman, Bieber wrote a lengthy caption, saying: 'It is extremely hard to choose the high road when I see people like this try and rally to gather people to bully the person I love the most in the world. It is not right.'

Following the posting of his video on his Instagram Stories, Bieber derided the woman, writing: 'A life where you want to make others feel small will leave you with no friends and no real JOY. [sic]'

Hailey also commented on the saga, sharing her husband of two year's statements and adding one herself on her Instagram account, writing: 'I usually stay quiet and don't acknowledge these things because I need to protect myself and my mental. But it has truly gotten to a level of anger and hate that is shockingly unhealthy and sad.'

The model, who has spoken on several occasions about the trolling and bullying she has received online and comparing her to other women then did take the high road, saying she wished 'the young woman in that video all the best' adding: 'I hope she finds love, peace and happiness in this life!'

Gomez has not commented on this latest incident but has previously spoken out against fans bullying anyone online.

After releasing her song 'Lose You To Love Me' - widely presumed to be about her relationship with Bieber - Gomez, who routinely warns against the negative impacts of social media, urged her fans 'not to tear other women down' with many assuming she meant Hailey in particular.
