Actors Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco dated for about two years while filming ‘The Big Bang Theory’, but surprisingly their romance ended at some point. However, they kept going playing Leonard and Penny, respectively, for a bunch of more seasons. They even did some intimate scenes! Speaking to Dax Shepard on his ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, Kaley stated: "Luckily, Johnny and I came out of it so brilliantly, and we’re closer today than we ever were."

These two stars met and fell in love on the set of ‘Mamma Mia!’, and were together as a couple from 2007 to 2011. In 2018, when they were not still together, they reprised their roles for ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’, which did not represent any challenge. Dominic told Entertainment Tonight: "It was always going to be okay. You just have to be delicate with those situations."

One of the fan-favorite couples back in the day was certainly the one involving the ‘There’s Something About Mary’ actress and the NSYNC former member, who dated from 2003 to 2007. Four years later, in 2011, Justin and Cameron played a couple in the movie ‘Bad Teacher’, which was a fantastic experience. Diaz told Us Weekly magazine: "Justin and I have always had a good laugh together, and to make a movie where we get to have a laugh together, and there really was no one else who was more perfect for this part."

These two stars were a couple from 2003 to 2006, while playing Summer and Seth at the same time in the hit series ‘The O.C.’ Rachel and Adam remained in their roles until 2007, when the series ended, and when they were not together in real-life anymore. Rachel once told Nylon: “It was definitely a unique experience, and I don’t think anyone else could have really understood it had they not been in it.”

Nina and Ian were in a romantic relationship from 2010 to 2013, and were also playing Elena and Damon in ‘The Vampire Diaries’. By Season 8 of the series, when they were not together in real-life anymore, they characters end up together. Nina once said on ‘Watch What Happens Live’: "Why can't everyone be friends?”

If you’re a ‘Friends’ fan, then you’ll probably remember Rachel’s love interest Joshua, played by Tate Donovan. At the time of the filming, Jennifer Aniston and Tate were a real-life couple, but they were actually about to call it quits. Donovan once told Us Weekly that it was difficult to "act like we are just meeting each other, and falling in love, or whatever, interested in each other, when we’re sort of breaking up".

‘Marriage Story’ actress Laura Dern and ‘Sex and the City’ alum Kyle MacLachlan were in a relationship from 1985 to 1989. However, they played loved interests Diane and Dale, respectively, in the 2017 movie ‘Twin Peaks: The Return’. In an appearance on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show', MacLachlan joked about it, stating that filming a love scene with his ex felt like: “Welcome back, 25 years later.”

Two other stars who fell in love while filming are Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse, who met in the ‘Riverdale’ set in 2017. They had a relationship for a while but ended up calling it quits in 2020. However, they kept playing their respective roles as Betty and Jughead in the series. About their split, Cole once wrote on Instagram that he felt “lucky” for having “the chance to fall in love".

Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts were THE couple back in the day, but their relationship ended in 2016. Only one year later though, they starred as husband and wife in the movie ‘Chuck’. At the time he told People: “I just knew it was going to be fun.”

Our list would be incomplete without this former couple. Blake and Penn dated from 2007 to 2010, while playing ‘Gossip Girl’s’ popular couple, Serena and Dan. The TV stars kept playing their parts until 2012 when the series ended. One time, the actress opened up with Elle by saying: "I remember there was one point where we were just afraid of how our personal lives overlapping our work life could be perceived by our bosses. [But then] we were like, ‘Oh no, that’s exactly what they want.’”
