Julia Fox's latest 'fit is literally just a load of straps

It's hard to believe that Julia Fox's life is ever unglamorous. In fact, I would argue that her weekly routine is probably far more so than mine could ever be. Whenever there's an event, she turns a look. And it usually goes beyond just looking nice – in fact, more often than not, she seems more like a living art piece than just another celebrity lining up for a posed red carpet pic.

This week, the actor, model and soon-to-be author wore an outfit that one could argue, is indeed art. Part deconstructed suit, part punk kilt, part gothic, Fox wore an array of aesthetics to promote her upcoming memoir, Down the Drain, to tape a promotional segment on Good Morning America.

Her shirt, which appears to be a halter style that's worn totally off the body, is paired with a stud-encrusted, holed tie, a huge leather belt (that attaches to her iconique Chopova Lowena kilt skirt with safety pins) and astonishingly tall platform heels – the Marc Jacobs Heaven Kiki's to be exact. Which, of course, feature approximately a million straps. There's a lot going on here.

Likely another collaboration between J and resident stylist Briana Andalore, the look is a cacophony of textures, colours and mind-boggling illusions. Basically, her signature style.

Julia, who was at one time a dominatrix, has said that releasing her memoir is a surreal experience. "[E]ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be a writer & after writing every single word in this book, it’s safe to say I AM ONE!!!!" she captioned her announcement post on Instagram, sharing the book's cover for the first time.

The book documents Julia's tumultuous rise to fame, along with her childhood, mental health struggles, abusive relationships and history with drugs. It will be available from October 10th and, if Julia's track record is anything to go by, it'll be a sensational, zeitgeist-grabbing success. Can't wait.
