What were our lives like before Julia Fox? The actress, Uncah Jamz muse and former Kanye flame had a major 2022, with literally *so* many iconic fashion moments from the viral pics of her going food shopping in her underwear to her bizarre yet amazing bikini top, low rise trousers and centaur legs look (obviously, Photoshop was involved in the latter).
But while her public persona is pretty outlandish ad designed to keep people intrigued (she has called her street style a 'service' to the people) she can also be pretty relatable. Yep, despite consistently being shown in designer outfits or heading to fashion week, she always manages to keep it real.
In the past, this has included showing off (spray-painted) grey roots as a 'love letter' to ageing and now it involves a revealing apartment tour that Julia just posted on TikTok. The video in question has 5.8 million views and 850k likes at the time of writing (despite being posted under 24 hours ago) and thousand of comments.
Julia starts off the video by explaining her motivations for filming and posting is saying 'I do believe in maximum transparency' and 'I know I'm going to get roasted, but maybe someone can watch this and think "okay, well maybe I'm not doing so bad."'
The tour shows fans Julia's bedroom which she notes is actually in the living room, so that what was initially intended to be her bedroom could be turned into a playroom for her son Valentino. There's lots of pictures of Julia and her friends and loved ones over the walls, as well as images of two friends who have passed away on what Julia calls her 'nostalgia mirror'. It's simple, but also a little bit messy (relatable).
She then takes viewers down a long hall past a 'grow station' featuring two plant pots filled with earth and which Julia explains 'where nothing's growing, because we don't know what we're doing'. There's also a small bathroom, a kitchen and an adorable room filled with books and toys for Valentino.
She sums up the tour by explaining that she prefers a more modest living space by saying; 'For me personally, I don't like excessive displays of wealth, it makes me feel really icky.' She also drops into the video that the flat has a 'small mice problem' - something that is further clarified in the caption to the video, which says; 'to clarify I have only ONE mouse and he’s cute 🥰.'
Understandably, the comments from fans have come flooding in since the video was posted - with most noting how surprisingly relatable it is. A comment with over 125k likes says simply 'She’s just like us fr 🥲' while another with 17.2k likes says 'A relatable icon'.
Further proof that Julia really is the people's princess!
