If, like me, you're chronically online, you'll no doubt be aware of the 'skinny jab' that many celebrities are rumoured to have used for weight loss. And one such celebrity is Julia Fox.

But, this week the Uncut Jems (read: Uncah Jahmz) star firmly denied the claim, telling Entertainment Tonight: "All these people are coming for me saying that I take [these] weight loss things... people are saying that I'm taking Ozempic or whatever it's called."

Julia went on, "I'm not and I've never have... I would never do that."

"There are diabetics that need it," she said of the prescription drug, which is used to help those with Type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels but has more recently made headlines over its ability to reduce a patient’s appetite and in turn trigger weight loss.

The controversial 'skinny jab' has become quite the conversation point in recent weeks, with critics arguing that making it readily available in the UK could have a damaging impact on those with or at risk of developing disordered eating.

"Any medicine which offers weight loss or a 'quick fix' solution can really appeal to anyone with an eating disorder, but there’s a very high risk of making them even more unwell," said Tom Quinn, director of external affairs at Beat, the UK's eating disorder charity. "Misusing medication can be one of the first signs of an eating disorder, and it’s vital that healthcare professionals are made aware of this so that they can help anyone affected to get treatment right away."
