Julia Bradbury took to Instagram on Tuesday (1 September) to share a throwback snap with her mum taken on a trip to Greece last year, where Julia's maternal family hail from.
The TV presenter wrote in the caption: "Smile everyone! It's infectious 🌝. I like this picture. It's just happy. I was filming with my Mama Mou (on the far right) in Greece last year and we went to film at a mastica factory on the island of Chios which is where my family are from."
Giving us an insight into their day and filling us in on the third lady in the photo, Julia continued: "This lovely lady had worked at the factory for more than 35 years and it was definitely a happy place. The ladies sit in a bright room sorting through mastika gum by hand, chatting and laughing away. They loved having us there and my mum made a new friend."
Feeling the warmth coming from all three smiles it's easy to see what Julia is talking about.
She went on to celebrate the culture and positivity of the Greek islands and praise the communities who live on them.
"Greeks on the islands have a real sense of community and togetherness. No wonder Greece is one of the Blue Zones - one of several zones in the world where people live the longest, and are healthiest 🇬🇷💙," she said.
It sounds like Julia and her mother had a lovely time visiting their home island and it's great hearing more about the TV favourite's family heritage and culture.
