Julia Bradbury launches new Outdoor Guide Gin with her sister Gina
Julia Bradbury and her sister Gina have created a new gin inspired by the Derbyshire countryside the grew up in.
Named after the sisters' The Outdoor Guide website, The Outdoor Guide Gin (£39 75cl) is a collaboration with Derbyshire Distillery that celebrates the Bradbury's love of the area and of the great outdoors.
It's described in the press release as: "A delicious and unusual gin with a unique blend of fresh botanicals, blending traditional juniper with blackberry, raspberry, heather and lavender with hints of nettles and mint, all inspired by the Peak District."
Promising an invigorating and uplifting gin, with a soft, smooth finish.
The Countryfile star and her sister wanted to capture a unique earthy outdoor flavour that encompassed what they love about the area.
Julia said in the press release: “I have many fond memories of walks with my Dad and would love people to enjoy this drink as a celebration at the top of a mountain or after a long walk when you’re feeling euphoric and get back to your bed for the night.”
Even the bottle design is taken from a photograph of Julia at her favourite spot – Noe Stool - in the High Peak of Derbyshire where they walked with their dad as children.
The recommended serve for The Outdoor Guide Gin is over ice and topped up with the Bradbury’s favourite Franklin & Son’s Natural Indian Tonic Water, or as part of a post walk hot toddy.
But don't worry we're sure it tastes just as good after a day on the sofa too!
