When you're in a well-publicised relationship and wear a huge, sparkling ring on that finger, of course people are going to think there's a chance you might be engaged. Case in point: Jordyn Woods and her NBA boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns.

This week, Jordyn posted a picture of herself to Instagram looking super cute and happy while posing for camera. But her 11.8 million Instagram followers mainly zoned in on what appeared to be an engagement ring on her left hand. Cue many ring emojis and questions about her current relationship status. "Is that an ENGAGEMENT ring?!!?! 👀," one commented, while another asked, "Is that a ring with diamonds or a diamond ring? 🧐💍."

So, is Jordyn engaged to the NBA player? According to Jordyn's mum and manager Elizabeth Woods, her daughter is definitely not engaged. TMZ reports that she was wearing the ring for a photo shoot.

It comes just a week after Karl-Anthony hinted at getting engaged when he denied rumours he cheated on Jordyn. It kicked off when screenshots of an alleged conversation between Towns and another woman began circulating on Twitter and Instagram, but it turned out they had been faked.

In response to the rumours, the basketball player tweeted: "So I got the baddest girl in the game and you think I’m gonna waste my energy with anyone else gtfoh! Same haters we got now are gonna be the same ones we have when I put that ring on her finger."

The pair have been together since around July 2020, but they didn't officially confirm their relationship until September when Jordyn posted a loved-up picture on Instagram which was captioned, "I found you, then I found me."
