Jon Richardson accepts seven-figure divorce payout to wife Lucy Beaumont five months after split
Jon Richardson has given a hefty sum to his ex-wife Lucy Beaumont following their split. The comedic duo, who ended their nine-year marriage in April this year, left fans gobsmacked. The pair had kept audiences entertained with their mockumentary show Meet The Richardsons for six years and recently had viewers in stitches with their stint on Celebrity Gogglebox.
It's now been revealed that Jon has handed over a whopping £1.625 million to Lucy. Over the course of their relationship, the couple had built up a fortune of £6 million. Documents for a company they had run together reveal that in June, Jon paid Lucy that sum for her shares in a company in which they were both listed as directors.
Jon, 41, also had to fork out an additional £8,125 in stamp duty to HMRC after buying Lucy's stake in the company This Guy at Night Limited. The business is still valued at a cool £4 million according to documents filed at Companies House, reports the Mirror.

Despite their separation, Jon and Lucy, 40, remain joint owners of a detached home in Yorkshire, boasting a swimming pool and it is valued at £1 million. They also jointly own a plush flat in North London worth £1 million.
The once golden couple, who said 'I do' in a beautiful April 2015 ceremony and share a daughter born the following year, have always seemed like the picture of happiness.
However, just after their hit series 'Meet The Richardsons' launched its fifth outing earlier this month, Lucy and Jon dropped the sad news that their relationship has ended.

In a heartfelt joint statement, they confessed: "After nine years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways."
They pleaded for consideration during this challenging period, especially for the sake of their child: "As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment."
The comedic pair had sparked up a romance over a decade ago, thanks to a nudge from mutual pal Roisin Conaty. Just before their unexpected parting, Lucy candidly discussed the highs and lows of working with her hubby in an interview with OK! she was full of praise for their team dynamic saying, "It's a great working environment because it feels like a big group of friends" but did not shy away from mentioning that there were cons, including missing out on off-camera fun with the crew, describing them as like being on holiday.
Meet The Richardsons, which premiered on Dave in late February 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, has been a hit with viewers. The show features both comedians playing fictionalised versions of themselves and discussing their daily lives in a mockumentary format.
