Comedian John Bishop crashed his car on Tuesday after he swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle.
The British funnyman was driving his Land Rover in Wales on the way to catch a ferry to Ireland on Tuesday when the car he overtook swerved to avoid a "big chicken", causing him to veer off and crash into the metal barriers on the side of the road.
The 54-year-old revealed the incident on Instagram by sharing a snap of him posing with police officers as well as two pictures of his car crashed into the barrier, showing that the front right corner of the car crumbled and the window screen shattered upon impact.
In the caption, John explained what happened and assured fans that he was uninjured in the accident.
"I was driving to catch a ferry to Ireland when something happened!! To avoid a car that was swerving to avoid a 'big chicken' as I overtook I ended up like this," he wrote. "Nobody was hurt thanks to @landrover_uk being brilliant and no oncoming traffic."
He went on to thank all those who helped him following the collision and the police officers for getting him on a later ferry.
"I missed my ferry but went on as a foot passenger on a later one thank to James and Tony from @dyfedpowyspolice," he continued. "Amazing how helpful people can be when you need them and thanks to the other drivers for staying including Andrew who I think sadly hit the 'big chicken' anyway."
