Joey King reacts to people saying her bleached brows are "weird"
Joey King won't stand for any slander of her bleached eyebrows. Period.
Taking to TikTok (before it was banned in the US), the Uglies star opened up about the reaction to her recently bleached brows while expertly shutting down claims that she looks "weird".
In the clip, Joey said that she's only recently bleached her brows and, while they were white at first, she jokingly added that now "they just look like the Lorax moustache." Regardless, she asserted that she loves them. Lorax and all.
Not everyone feels the same though, as Joey went on to tell her fans. "I saw my mom two days ago and she was like, 'I just can't look at you. You look so weird'," she recalled, before reminding viewers that's exactly why she opted for the brow transformation.
"Guys, I know I look weird. That's the point," she went on. "I was like, 'Mom, that's the point. The point is that I'm trying something different'."
To that end, Joey said while the look isn't a forever move, she's happy with her brows for now — and wants everyone else to be happy with them too. "I'm gonna dye them back but just let me have this," she said at the end of her TikTok.
In the comments section, there was a mixed bag of reactions to Joey's bleached brows. "Plz dye them back," one person pleaded, whereas Noah Cyrus — who is no stranger to the bleached brow trend herself — commented: "I love this look on you." Elsewhere, a third fan chimed in with, "Okay but I see the vision."
Yep, the vision is definitely visioning, IMO.
