Jimmy Choo has brought to life a selection of sketches that were submitted by fans during lockdown last year, and the label will be selling the shoes as part of a charitable project.

The collection began during the height of the first lockdown when the brand's creative director Sandra Choi shared her love of sketching with Jimmy Choo's Instagram followers, and encouraged them to join in from home. Over 10,000 sketches were submitted in total, and 10 of these were chosen to be created and sold, with 100 per cent of the profits going to Women For Women International.

"I wanted to share my love of sketching with the Jimmy Choo community in the hope it would provide a moment of escape whilst we were all united in the challenges the Covid-19 pandemic brought," Choi said. "I was overwhelmed by the number of sketches and stories we received and felt inspired and touched that we had reached so many people around the world."

"It was difficult to shortlist the number of submissions down to just 10, but each of the finalists had created a design which really resonated with me and I’m thrilled to be supporting Women for Women International and the incredible work they do helping transform the lives of women survivors of conflict."

Profits from the collection will help to support women who live in some of the world’s most dangerous places, including those living countries affected by conflict. Women For Women International aims to help them to become successful entrepreneurs and inspire hope for the future.

The collection is available to shop now.
