Jesy Nelson pulls out of first solo concert after testing positive for Covid-19

Jesy Nelson has pulled out of her first live solo show after testing positive for Covid-19.

The former Little Mix star took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to reveal she would no longer be able to perform at Hits Live in Birmingham on Saturday as she was self-isolating at home following the positive test result.

"After feeling unwell for the last few days, I've sadly tested positive for Covid which means I'm now self-isolating, following government guidelines. It means that I'm no longer able to perform at Hits Live in Birmingham this Saturday. Apologies to any of my fans who bought tickets and I'm so sorry I can no longer be there," she wrote. "I hope you all have an amazing night, stay safe and I can't wait to see you all soon love you so much."

Hits Radio representatives shared her statement on Instagram and wrote in the caption, "@jesynelson has sadly tested positive for COVID. She’s going to be following government guidelines and self-isolating, so unfortunately she won’t be appearing at Hits Live this weekend. Wishing you a speedy recovery Jesy!"

The show would have served as Jesy's first live solo gig since leaving Little Mix in December and launching her solo career with her debut single Boyz in October.

She already has another concert in the pipeline, and is scheduled to perform at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball at London's O2 Arena on 11 December. The line-up also includes Justin Bieber, Coldplay, and Years & Years.
