Jesy Nelson has opened up about her relationship with Little Mix, confirming that she and former bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards are "not talking anymore" following recent tension.

To recap, there's been plenty of drama in the Little Mix world as of late: Jesy left the group in December 2020 after 9 years, going on to release her first solo single 'Boyz' with Nicki Minaj. The single led Jesy to receive new accusations of Blackfishing (wherein a person who isn't Black benefits and profits from adopting aspects of Black culture, or by altering their appearance to mimic Black characteristics e.g. by darkening their skin).

Following up the drama, Jesy and Nicki then did an IG Live together in which Nicki looked to criticise Leigh-Anne while Jesy laughed in response, prompting yet more backlash.

Now, Jesy's addressed her fall out with her ex Little Mix bandmates directly.

Appearing on The Graham Norton Show (which will air tonight, 29 October, on BBC One), Jesy spoke candidly about the dispute and her time in the band.

She told host Graham, "We’re not talking any more. It is sad but honestly there is no bad blood from my side, and I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best."

Reflecting on her experience in the group, Jesy continued, "I loved my time with them, and we’ve got the most incredible memories together but it’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows."

Still, Jesy made sure to show her support for the girl group, adding, "To me they are still the sickest girl band in the world."

Remaining Little Mix members Leigh-Anne, Jade and Perrie are yet to comment directly on the drama.
