Jesy Nelson has been confirmed to perform her first solo concert as part of Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball.

The former Little Mix star joins a star-studded line-up led by Justin Bieber and Coldplay, with the event being held at London’s O2 Arena on December 11.

This will be Nelson’s first major concert since leaving the band in December 2020, launching her solo career in October this year with controversial single, 'Boyz'.

Nelson came under fire for the track, which features samples from Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs and a verse from Nicki Minaj, after accusations that the music video perpetuated “blackfishing”.

Last week, she performed the track for the first time on The Graham Norton Show, again causing backlash for lip-syncing the song.

Nelson will join Bieber on his only live show in Europe this year, and his first major UK performance since 2017.

In its place a “Best Of” special was aired on ITV to commemorate the previous years’ shows.

The two-night extravaganza has become known for featuring some of the world’s biggest stars, marking the past year.

Previous stars have included Taylor Swift, Stormzy, Harry Styles, Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran.

The second night’s line-up is yet to be announced, with DJ Roman Kemp revealing the line-up on Capital Breakfast from 8am on Thursday.
