Jessica Chastain will never be tempted to try 'grandma chic' fashion trend

Jessica Chastain has no desire to try out the "grandma chic" fashion trend.

The Molly's Game actress always pulls out all of the stops when it comes to her red carpet looks, and recently made waves when she stepped out in a red beaded column gown from Versace for the premiere of Scenes from a Marriage at the Venice Film Festival.

Discussing her love of fashion in an interview with L'Officiel magazine, Jessica noted that she is willing to try any style or silhouette, except anything that could be considered frumpy.

"I love the history of fashion. I love wearing a corset, I love those kind of classical looks. I'm not a stick figure and I really don't... over exercise. I exercise, but I'm not crazy about it. I'm happy about that, and I'm happy to show that I have curves on my body," she shared. "I'm drawn to that, but I'm also drawn to androgyny sometimes. The one thing I'm not drawn to, and I will say this, is grandma chic. That's kind of what I'm not drawn to."

Jessica went on to explain that she has an emotional response to each and every red carpet outfit she wears, and certain garments can impact her energy at an event.

"If I'm wearing yellow, I feel it. If I'm wearing a suit, I feel it. I feel the energy of what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing all white and my hair is in braids, if I've got a miniskirt on, whatever it is, I feel it and it contributes to me in some way," the 44-year-old continued. "I don't know how to describe it, but each outfit that I have the opportunity to wear makes me feel like a different kind of woman."
