Jessica Alba's costar Jensen Ackles has opened up about starring alongisde the Honey actor in 2000 tv series Dark Angel saying the she was initially "horrible to work with" adding that this was something he has said "to her face."

Speaking during an episode of US podcast Inside Of You With Michael Rosenbaum Ackles was asked about his time on the series, which ran from 2000 to 2002, and in particular, what is was like to work with Alba, who later became a major star.

When asked if she was "cool to work with," Ackles reponded, ""No. She was horrible. I've told this to her face."

He continued, "I love Jess, which I know contradicts what I said. She was under an immense amount of pressure on that show... I was like the new fresh face on the set, who wasn't really there on Season 1. I was the new kid on the block, and I got picked on by the lead."

He went onto explain that their interactions became, "the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do.

"She had it out for me," he said, claiming that she once made a uncomfortable comment in front of the entire crew; "She just was like, 'Oh, here's the pretty boy that network brought in for some more window dressing because that's what we all need', I was like, 'What the f***? What did I do?"

He then explained that he began clapping back to Alba in the same way she was to him, and it bizarrely improved their relationship.

"Then she was like, 'OK, now I can be a dick to him, and he'll be a dick to me. And that's how we'll roll.' It did build some mutual respect."

Ackles added that they actually became really close following their tumultuous start, explaining that after his grandfather passed away, "She walked into my trailer and just held me."
