Jeremy Kyle has reemerged from a media blackout to make a major announcement about his personal life.

The former host of The Jeremy Kyle Show revealed late Friday (August 16) that he will be a father once more, as his fiancée Vicky Burton is pregnant (via The Sun). Their baby is due early next year.

"Vick and I couldn’t be happier to say we’re expecting our first baby together," the presenter said. "We’ve told our families and everyone is delighted.

“It’s the best possible thing that could have happened and we’re excited about preparing for his or her arrival in January.”

Kyle also has three daughters and a son from his previous marriages to Kirsty Rowley and Carla Germaine, the latter of which ended in divorce three years ago.

Friday's announcement was Kyle's first public comment since he reacted to ITV cancelling his long-running chatshow following the death of then-recent guest Steve Dymond.

"Myself and the production team are all utterly devastated," he said of his show's axing in March.

In response to backlash against The Jeremy Kyle Show, ITV had previous said: "The Jeremy Kyle Show has had a loyal audience and has been made by a dedicated production team for 14 years, but now is the right time for the show to end.

"Everyone at ITV's thoughts and sympathies are with the family and friends of Steve Dymond. The previously announced review of the episode of the show is under way and will continue. ITV will continue to work with Jeremy Kyle on other projects."
