NEWS JUST IN: Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are now legally wed after the pair eloped to Las Vegas and tied the knot on Saturday 16th July. What a wholesome way to start the week, ey? Jennifer first shared the news on her very own website-meets-newsletter, named OnTheJLo, writing: 'We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient'.

Following that, we saw a bunch of exclusive images drop on Instagram, coming to us from not only Jen's account, but her glam squad, too. Hairstylist, Chris Appleton, nail artist, Tom Bachik and fashion stylist, Rob Zangardi all shared pics of their work – the genius behind the makeup look is yet to be confirmed. And let me preface by saying, with just a quick glimpse of the entire ensemble, we can see that teamwork really does make the dream work.

The initial IG post announcing the news came to us from J-Lo herself, where she is seen to be showing off her wedding ring in a makeup-free photo from bed. Here is Mrs Affleck (the singer shared her new legal name, FYI) looking very au naturale:

And here is a look at the hair and makeup from the big day:

As shown by Chris in the above video reel, Jen opted for a big bouncy blowout with the curls billowing down and around her shoulders. Classic, really. Though, with temperatures reaching 45 degrees plus in Las Vegas (apparently us Brits can now relate), the front middle section of her hair has been pinned back to keep it out of her face. Sensible yet stylish – we love it.

In fact, it reminds us of that classic 2000s hairstyle where we all pinned our hair back, sometimes with the addition of a little bump or quiff a la Lauren Conrad in The Hills.

The wedding glam is everything we could have hoped for and more, TBH. And now, they live happily ever after... congrats both!
