It's safe to say, Jennifer Lopez has been pretty busy in the past year. With a CV that includes global megastar, award-winning actress, producer, dancer and mum of two under her belt, it's unsurprising that JLo has hit us with yet another hidden talent. This time, she's adding Beauty Mogul to the list.
Yup, while 2020's pandemic left the majority of us furloughed, obsessed with baking banana bread and with a newly found penchant for puzzles, Jennifer Lopez was working on her next project, JLo Beauty.

Lifting our post-lockdown spirits once again, JLo has officially dropped her debut skincare line, JLo Beauty. Landing just before Christmas (business smarts? Check), Lopez's next level skincare range promises the ultimate complexion glow up in time for a fresh new year.
Known for her incredible skin and trademark glow, it's unsurprising that the mum of two chose to kick off her newest beauty venture with a full range of skincare products.
Based around the mantra that 'beauty has no expiration date', the line focuses on giving you an inner and outer glow that defies the outdated beauty narrative around ageing other skincare brands subscribe to.
Combine a forward thinking mission focussed on skin health, with JLo's 51 years of celebrity skin secrets and looking that good, and you've got a recipe for a seriously covetable line of products.
The first drop includes all your skincare essentials, with everything from moisturiser and cleanser to a more holistic addition of a skin supplement - all formulated with 'next-Jen ingredients'.

So what is the secret to Lopez's enviable complexion? Olive oil. Yes, really. In a behind-the-scenes video showing the entrepreneur creating the skincare line, Lopez says:
'I'm a big olive oil person so for me that would be the basis of something that we could start with as far as formulations and things like that. What I went back to was secrets from my mum when I was young, how olive oil was a cure all for your hair, your skin, your nails, your body - it was nature's magic ingredient. It's the thing that makes that natural glow.'
In true fan form, the singer's followers were fully on board with the unexpected ingredient, with comments such as 'pours olive oil all over face' and 'Take allllll of my skincare money immediately' filling the JLo Beauty feed.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, the Hustlers star posted a series of bronzed selfies showing off her holiday glow. Between frantically double tapping Lopez's post and wondering just how she achieves that effortless radiance, we took a moment to read the caption and all was revealed.
Writing alongside her Instagram slideshow Lopez said: 'Sunset glow...
#JLoBeauty coming soon'.
Did JLo Beauty just become a thing? Having collaborated with make-up brand Inglot Cosmetics in 2018 and pioneered the celebrity perfume scene with her iconic Glow by JLo scent back in 2002, Jen's no stranger to the beauty biz.
Additionally, the actress has previously spoken about launching her own skincare line, telling Refinery29 in 2018, 'I will be coming out with a skincare line. I’ve been working on it for a long time, because I don’t want to put [just] anything out. I want it to be something that encompasses all the things I’ve learned and all the secrets I have. And it doesn’t have anything to do with needles.'
So, it would make sense that Lopez's aspirations to join the world of A-list beauty brands have finally come to fruition.
Although we can assume that the name of the line will be JLo Beauty from Jen's hashtag, more information on what the range might include and when it launches is yet to be revealed. But, with a reputation for glossy lips, time-defying ultra flawless skin and the most enviable glow in LA, we've got high hopes.
