Jennifer Garner floors fans with new haircut and toned legs in mini shorts

Jennifer Garner is a very, very busy woman. She's juggling her career, family, a pretend cooking show, and her company, Once Upon a Farm. But she’s also big on showing up for charity, because Jen is all about giving back, and she certainly looks fabulous while doing so.

The 50-year-old attended an event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles over the weekend in a simple cream-coloured shorts suit that she accessorised with miles of toned legs. Oh, and Jennifer ~also~ debuted a new cropped hair cut that totally completed the whole look.

Here's a look back at Jen's red carpet appearance, just in case you weren't paying attention:

Okay, but back to those strong legs... If you're wondering how she gets so sculpted, you're not alone. Jennifer definitely shares little snippets here and there on Instagram, giving everyone a peek into her intense fitness routine. And I'll be the first to say that there are definitely some leg burners in the mix.

Back in September, Jen included a video of herself leaping a whopping 33 inches into the air—but not before pointing out that it was kinda-totally hard to pull off. '33” is very tall. 🐸,' she wrote in the caption. In the video, Jennifer stands next to a tower of padded blocks, psyches herself up, and leaps into the air, landing on her knees on the tower, before cracking up. 'That’s very tall!' she said. But, in the next clip, she totally leaped on top and landed on her feet as people cheered in the background. That takes some serious leg strength.

In June, she was back on those blocks doing an impressive leaping series that’ll make you feel wiped, just looking at it. There’s Jen jumping off one block, onto the ground, and up on another like it’s nothing. That’s followed by Jennifer doing donkey kicks on a trampoline, before doing some kind of incredibly complicated jumping sequence with the trampoline and another block. Basically…her legs get an intense workout on the regular, while also doing things that raise her heart rate for a good cardio sesh.

Jennifer’s trainer, Beth Nicely, told Shape earlier this year that her famous client 'likes to work really hard' and is 'a professional athlete in what she's capable of physically.' The two are big on doing plyometric box jumps (i.e. what you just witnessed), strength training arm exercises, and plank variations.

When it comes to her diet, Jen has told Women's Health US that she's really into baking (I mean, have you seen her "Pretend Cooking Show"?!) and she eats what she makes. Sometimes, she even grows what she eats, too. Jennifer has also opened up about the fact she relies on celeb nutrition guru Kelly LeVeque for her best nutrition tips.

In the mornings, Jennifer's fave is LeVeque’s Be Well Smoothie, which includes collagen, flax and chia seeds, almond butter, almond milk, spinach, and blueberries. Yum!

Crushing it, Jen!
