Jennifer Coolidge fans all want her to host the Oscars
If you didn't see Jennifer Coolidge's *iconic* speeches at the Golden Globes this week, then literally where were you? The White Lotus star picked up the award for best performance by an actress in a supporting role in a limited series, anthology series, or motion picture made for television for her role as Tanya McQuoid, plus experienced a standing ovation from the crowd. And can we just say - it was all incredibly well deserved.
Since the American Pie actor's big moment, fans have all taken to Twitter to worship the 61-year-old. Oh, and to also call for her to host the next Oscars. That's it, we're starting a petition to make it happen.
"Let Jennifer Coolidge host the Oscars," one fan typed, as another agreed, writing: "WHY DONT THEY ASK JENNIFER COOLIDGE TO HOST THE OSCARS."
Looks like someone also had the same petition idea as us too, as another user said: "This is a petition to let Jennifer Coolidge host the #oscars next year." Um, if it's already doing the rounds, where do we sign?
Others were thick and fast to jump on board with the conversation, expressing their love for the actor and calling for the hosting duties to be made official.
"Jennifer Coolidge should host the Oscars," a fourth typed, as a fifth penned: "Let Jennifer Coolidge host the Oscars" along with a series of screaming memes.
Whether The Academy Award bosses pick up on these pleads or not, one thing's for sure, the woman is an absolute icon.
From her heartfelt and emotional tribute to The White Lotus creator and School of Rock alumni, Mike White, to her hilarious "I don’t work out, you know? I can’t hold it that long" comment after she asked if she could put down her award, it's safe to say that Jennifer definitely stole the show and the internet at the Golden Globes.
