Jennifer Coolidge channels Brigitte Bardot with 1960s-inspired hairstyle
Thee iconic hair accessory of the 1960s first made its comeback circa 2006 and now, it's been resurrected once again by the one and only, Jennifer Coolidge. And on the world-famous 2023 SAG Awards stage, no less! Paired with a coiffed bombshell beehive, enter: the alice band.
While we Brits were snoozing, overnight [26 February] celebs from all over took to the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles, California. Notably, Jen won both Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series award and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for The White Lotus but over on the Cosmo beauty desk, all eyes were on her 'do.
Now, luckily for us, Jennifer's hairstylist for the evening, Sami Knight took to Instagram with all of the BTS beauty deets. " I really wanted Jen to be the ultimate bombshell today. This look is all about big volume, and soft waves", Sami shared.
After running through all of the products used (which you can shop below), Sami revealed the inspiration behind the hair accessory. "We added in a black headband at the front of the hair for a touch of that 60s Bardot vibe. You could add in a ribbon or big barrette, whatever you like!", he wrote.
Inspired by French style icon of the time, Brigitte Bardot, this 60s (yet still timeless!) look is all about effortless, layered volume paired with long curtain bangs. And I mean, if ever a hairstyle to do Miss Bardot proud, it would be this.
Jen, congrats on not only the awards but a stunning beauty look, too – we applaud you!
