Jennifer Aniston has recalled how she allowed a make-up artist to bleach her eyebrows on the set of her very first photoshoot.

In a video for Allure magazine, the Friends actress reflected on a series of current beauty trends.

But when it came to the fad for bleached eyebrows, Jennifer warned people against experimenting with the bold look.

"My first magazine cover that I did, Kevyn Aucoin did my make-up. I just remember sitting there and all of a sudden, he put this white stuff on my eyebrows and I didn't know what was happening. And then he wiped it away," she recounted. "At that point, you didn't get asked any questions (such as), 'How do you feel about this? Can I do this? Can I do that? Next thing you know I had no eyebrows."

Jennifer then insisted, "This face needs eyebrows."

In addition, the star noted that she would never be tempted to try thin eyebrows again.

"I remember moving to California and I had a girlfriend who was a model and she looked at my eyebrows and said, 'Oh God, these are awful.' And started plucking them. And there they went. I'm lucky they grew back. Some of my girlfriends' (brows) haven't grown back," the 53-year-old sighed.

Elsewhere in the clip, Jennifer approved of the return of '90s trends such as hair gems, butterfly clips, curtain bangs, and her go-to mauve lipstick - MAC Cosmetics' Satin Lipstick in Paramount.
