Jennifer Aniston has paid tribute to her father John who died at the age of 89 on 11 November.
Like his daughter, John Aniston was an actor and best known for his role as Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives, which he starred on from 1985 until the present day, appearing in nearly 4,000 episodes.
Aniston paid tribute to her father on social media, sharing a number of photos and writing: "Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston.
"You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain. And on 11/11 no less!"
She continued: "You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now. I’ll love you till the end of time. Don’t forget to visit."
John Aniston recently received a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award for his work on Days of Our Lives.
He also appeared in episodes of Mad Men, Gilmore Girls and The West Wing.
Aniston was also very good friends with Kojak actor Telly Savalas and made him godfather to Jennifer when she was born in 1969.
Aniston previously revealed he once told his daughter: “I told her you don’t want to be in show business, show business stinks. I tell everybody who wants to be an actor, ‘Don’t be an actor, be something else.’ Because if my telling them to stay out of show business is going to keep them out, they shouldn’t be in it in the first place.”
He added: "But I knew right from the beginning when Jennifer started auditioning for things [she would be a success], because she always got called back.”
