Fan of the iconic 1988 film Beetlejuice? Well, it’s showtime as a sequel is in the works and Jenna Ortega might be joining the cast.
The 20-year-old actor in talks to star as the daughter of Lydia Deetz, played by Winona Ryder in the original film, according to multiple reports.
The highly-anticipated sequel to the film, directed by Tim Burton, had been in the works for years before Brad Pitt’s production company joined the project last year.

Is Beetlejuice 2 confirmed?
Yes! The sequel has been been discussed for many years by its cast, like Winona Ryder and Micheal Keaton, and director Tim Burton but it was officially confirmed last February.
Deadline reported that Brad Pitt‘s Plan B Entertainment company are producing the film alongside Warner Bros – so exciting!
For those who don’t know, the original Beetlejuice was released in 1988 and follows a dead couple, Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara (Geena Davis) who are trying to scare away a family that has moved into their old home so enlist the help of exorcist Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton).
Winona Ryder also starred as moody teenager, Lydia Deetz, and the film was directed by the iconic Tim Burton.
When is Beetlejuice 2 coming out?

The production is still in its early stages and production is rumoured to begin in late May or early June shoot in London, so watch this space for updates.
