Jenna Dewan is pregnant with her third child at 43: ‘I really love being a mom’
The gorgeous and talented Jenna Dewan is a mama-to-be again! The actress revealed that she’s pregnant with her third child via Instagram on Wednesday. In the video, her fiance Steve Kazee is playing guitar and singing and Dewan sits in the bathtub.
“Think if I make @stevekazee serenade me every night the baby will get his voice??” she wrote in her caption.
Dewan is already mom to daughter Everly, 10, who she shares with ex-husband Channing Tatum, and son Callum, 3, who she shares with Kazee.
In an interview with Romper, Dewan shared a hilarious tidbit from her son, who’s comprehension of conception and childbirth is right on par with all toddlers.
“[I told him] when the baby is ready, the baby comes out. And he’s like, ‘I want the baby right now. Can you just pull it out of your mouth?’ Steve and I died laughing. I said, ‘I wish, baby. That would be amazing if we could pull it out my mouth. But no, it definitely goes a different way.’”
Indeed it does!
Dewan, 43, says this baby will be her last—something that is so bittersweet for all of us who knew ahead of time that we wouldn’t be having any more babies. She said she and Kazee are keeping the sex of the baby a surprise for everyone, including them. She wants to savor this pregnancy because it’s her last.
“You don’t race to the end because this is the last time,” she tells Romper. “So there’s a bit of joy and a little sadness. I’m really trying to enjoy it all and not try to just get through the days.”
Dewan is currently busy shooting her fourth season of the long-running ABC procedural The Rookie. She says working while pregnant is, of course, “exhausting,” but that it’s also “amazing. It helps balance my mind.”
When it comes to having a third baby, Dewan is basically an expert this time around. And her happiness and peacefulness really come through when she talks about having kids.
“I really love being a mom,” she says. “That’s something I knew my whole life, but I really know it now.”
