Jenna Dewan has legally changed her name after finalising her divorce from Channing Tatum.

The couple married in 2009 and announced their split in April 2018. During their marriage, the professional dancer swapped her maiden name 'Dewan' into the middle, and legally changed her surname to Tatum.

PEOPLE reports that the star finally acquired approval for her name to be legally returned to her maiden name as her surname on February 6, according to court documents obtained by the publication.

Three weeks after their split, the actress dropped the name ‘Tatum’ from her name on social media accounts.

The news comes weeks after the Step Up! stars reached a custody agreement for their six-year-old daughter Everly.

In November, the actor reportedly filed a request for the court to issue orders in regard to child custody and visitation of their daughter, for whom they share joint legal and physical custody.

PEOPLE later reported that the former couple agreed to share 50/50 custody of their daughter and not to use their daughter in any social media posts that would result in profit unless they had approval from the other parent.
