Jenna Dewan hoping to design 'really beautiful' sustainable wedding dress

Jenna Dewan hopes to wear a dress made from sustainable fabrics for her upcoming wedding.

The actress/dancer and her fiancé Steve Kazee announced their engagement in February 2020, a month before they welcomed their baby son Callum.

While the Covid-19 pandemic curbed a lot of Jenna's wedding planning, in an interview for the fall 2021 issue of The Knot magazine, she opened up about her plans to sport an eco-friendly option on her big day.

"At this time in my life, I am definitely more drawn to the meaningful gathering rather than the lavish party," she told the publication. "I think it would be really beautiful to have a sustainable wedding dress or work with a designer to create something that is sustainable."

Jenna went on to share that she is looking to stage a "small, intimate" celebration, and is sourcing recycled invites, local florists, and farm-to-table caterers.

"There are a lot of ways to be sustainable. And you can still have a gorgeous wedding and something you feel good about. You feel like you're bettering the world," the 40-year-old smiled.

Elsewhere in the chat, Jenna gushed over the engagement ring Steve gave her, which he had designed with actress and BaYou with Love lifestyle brand owner Nikki Reed.

"Everything is made from sustainable materials - like they melt down Dell computers and use the gold. She grows these beautiful diamonds in a lab too. Steve had been working with her for months to design the ring. I am just obsessed with it," she added.
