Jeff Goldblum is Absolutely Awful at Keeping Secrets

Most of us know that Jeff Goldblum, the actor with a half-shirtless statue of himself in London, is a national treasure. Did you also know that the man really can't keep a secret? Like, not at all?

In the new episode of our long-running video series, "Explain This," Goldblum opened up about his life, career, the statue (of course)—and what he has in the hopper. Notably? Quite a few blockbusters. To start, Goldblum will once again reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in next summer's Jurassic World: Dominion. The actor told us that he didn't want to give anything away. Then, God love him, he proceeded to give something away.

"My character—I don't want to give anything away—because we did this movie that's going to be out next summer," Goldblum said of Jurassic World: Dominion. "I think my character gets to say, 'We human beings not only lack dominion over nature—we're subordinate to it.'"

While we're at it, let's talk about Goldblum's role in another gazillion-dollar franchise: The Thor saga. We last caught the actor, who plays the quasi-villainous Grandmaster, in 2017's Thor: Rangorok. There has been some speculation that he will return to the character in Thor: Love and Thunder, but there's been no official confirmation quite yet. Goldblum somehow both teased and held back from teasing his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just read for yourself.

"You know, I can't tell you something about something else having to do with Taika [Waititi] and the world of Hemsworths," he said. "I can't tell you, I can't tell you! I wish I were better at keeping secrets. I can't tell you! ... There's so much I want to tell you and I cannot because something official hasn't happened."

Check out the full interview, which is streaming above—especially if you want to hear what Goldblum has to say about an upcoming collaboration with Wes Anderson that he's also not supposed to mention.
