Jeff Brazier breaks silence over Jack Tweed's comments about Jade Goody
Jeff Brazier, the father of Jade Goody’s two children, has seemingly broken his silence after Jack Tweed claimed that Brazier hadn’t fulfilled his late wife’s wishes.
Brazier posted a video of himself on Instagram, telling his followers he’d had a difficult day, seemingly in reference to Tweed’s remarks.
Goody died of cervical cancer in 2009 and Brazier has raised their children since.
In an interview with The Sun, Tweed claimed that Brazier had not fulfilled Goody’s dying wish of letting Tweed see the two boys over the past few years. He also said that she’d set up funds for her sons to attend private school, but that these were wiped out due to her £1.8 million debts.
Although Brazier doesn’t reference Tweed directly, he posted the Instagram video on the 10th anniversary of Goody’s death and he spoke about the importance of being able to talk to someone when there’s “something going on in the background.”
He opened the video by stating he’d learnt an invaluable lesson last year.
“If you don’t share with people how you feel and what you’re struggling with – if you are – then people can’t support you,” he said.
“Days like today when there’s something going on in the background I’m able to talk to people about it and they are able to support me.
“As a result the situation feels so much better a lot quicker. So I’m grateful to everybody I spoke to today.”
The TV presenter went onto to explain that his son Freddie made a mistake over the weekend, but quickly made amends for it.
“As I explained to him just now, it’s not the mistake you make it’s your actions beyond that which count and dictates what sort of person you are,” he said.
