Jason Watkins joins SAS: Rogue Heroes
Jason Watkins has joined the cast of 'SAS: Rogue Heroes'.
The 'Line of Duty' star will join forces with previously announced cast members Connor Swindells, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Allen, Sofia Boutella and Dominic West in the six-part BBC series, which is from 'Peaky Blinders' creator Steven Knight.
It will tell the dramatised version of how Special Forces unit the SAS was formed during World War Two.
Steven said: "It has been a privilege to work on a project which tells the story of a renegade band of soldiers who used wit and imagination as much as firepower to halt the march of Fascism across North Africa during the darkest days of World War Two.
"This is a war story like no other, told in a way that is at once inspired by the facts and true to the spirit of this legendary brigade of misfits and adventurers."
As well as Jason, 'Dunkirk' actor Tom Glynn-Carney has also joined the cast, alongside fellow newcomers Stuart Campbell, Ralph Davis, Bobby Schofield, Virgile Bramly, Tom Hygreck, Paul Boche, David Alcock, Moritz Jahn, Arthur Orcier, Jordy Lagbre, Adrian Lukis, Anthony Calf, Isobel Laidler, and Ian Davies.
'SAS: Rogue Heroes' has been filmed on location in the UK and Morocco, and shooting has now wrapped.

In March, Jack and Alfie were confirmed for the drama series, and they will play Paddy Mayne and Jock Lewes respectively.
Set in 1941, the show sees young officer David Stirling (Connor) hospitalised after a training exercise gone wrong.
'SAS: Rogue Heroes' will air next year on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
