Jane Moore announced the birth of her step-daughter’s baby girl in a post on Instagram and said she has joined “the grandparent club”.

The ITV presenter shared a photograph of her step-daughter, Lauren holding the new arrival alongside her two sisters plus Jane herself.

The Loose Women star said the baby has been “a welcome bundle of joy in these challenging times.”

Jane shared the news that her new granddaughter is called Summer by writing, “Summer is here! Not the season (I’m back in jumpers already) but my stepdaughter Lauren’s daughter.”

In a sweet coincidence, Summer was born on the same day as Jane’s husband and new grandfather, Gary Farrow, who she referred to as “The Bloke”. Jane then revealed his grandparent name by adding, “(aka Grampy)”.

She referred to herself as “Nana Jane” in the post but added she was set on it yet and asked her followers for any recommendations.

“Not sure about ‘Nana Jane’ yet so if an alternative appeals I might ditch it and get in early on encouraging Summer to use it!! What are you called? Or what do/did you call your grandmother?” she wrote.

Jane also asked for any tips and trick from “all those already in the grandparent club,” and said followers should, “feel free to pass on any good advice!”
