Jamie Oliver's new cooking show, Keep Cooking and Carry On, only started on Monday but it's already a huge help for making store cupboard dinners more exciting – and providing homemade alternatives to those essentials we're struggling to get our hands on right now.

Case in point? Jamie's two-ingredient pasta and bread recipes which have both been doing the rounds online ever since.

If you've never made pasta before Jamie's recipe is such a simple way to get started because, as the TV chef told viewers, "you don't need a pasta machine, just a rolling pin" so it's "great for emergencies".

Plus, the only two homemade pasta ingredients are plain flour (the amount depends on how many people you're cooking for) and a little water from the tap – and it's ready to smother in sauce in just 15 minutes.

You can find Jamie's full easy pasta recipe right here, along with plenty of other ideas, including store cupboard pasta sauces and a simple chilli.

While you're perfecting your pasta, you might want to preheat the oven and bake some bread too. All you need is packet yeast, strong bread flour, a little water and Jamie's easy bread recipe.

Keep Cooking and Carry On is on every weeknight at 5:30pm on Channel4.
