Jamie Dornan Reveals His Plans To Reunite With Dakota Johnson In London This Summer
Although it may have been seven years since the third and final instalment of the Fifty Shades Of Grey (Fifty Shades Freed) franchise was released, fans of the steamy films will be glad to know that the lead actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan still keep in touch and make an effort to see one another from time to time.
Despite the continuous rumours over the years that the pair didn't get along at all, and especially while filming, the former co-stars in fact feel the total opposite towards one another.
Johnson put the rumours to rest back in June 2022, during an interview with Vanity Fair. 'There was never a time when we didn't get along,' she said.
'I know it's weird, but he's like a brother to me.' The star continued to express her fondness of Dornan and even stated that loves Jamie 'so, so, so much,' and while filming they were 'really there for each other. We had to really trust each other and protect each other.'
The news of the Dornan planning to meet up with Johnson over the summer in London this year then comes as no surprise, as revealed in an interview with Metro at the Into Film Awards on July 1.
When asked if they still keep in contact, the 42-year-old Northern Irish actor did not hesitate to confirm that they do. 'Yeah, I was texting with her a couple days ago.' He continued, 'She's London bound a wee bit over the next few weeks, so I'm trying to see her and Chris for dinner.'
Considering that Johnson was just in Somerset over the weekend over June 28 to watch her reported fiancé Chris Martin, the frontman of British rock band Coldplay perform, alongisde his and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow's children Moses and Apple, a reunion with both couples would be fitting.
