James Pryce - The Man Behind Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Hair - Reveals His Beauty Secret

James Pryce Dishes on Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding Hair

In case you hadn’t realised, it’s Kate Middleton and Prince William's first wedding anniversary this Sunday, celebrating a year since the Royal Wedding. Aaaah! And doesn’t it feel like it was only yesterday that we were cooing around the TV box and welling up just a tad? So in preparation for their first anniversary, Grazia Daily took a quick trip down to see Kate’s favourite hair stylist, James Pryce at his very chic new residence, the Josh Wood Atelier

James was the genius responsible for not only Princess Catherine’s amazing locks on her wedding day but also throughout her Canada tour last summer during which she had emaculately blow-dried tresses that we can only dream of. In fact, anytime you see Kate swishing her silky locks out and about in public, James is the man to thank. And it's hardly surprising - just one glimpse at his impressive CV and you can see why the Duchess turned to his nifty handy work.

James started his scissor life at Daniel Galvin before moving onto Trevor Sorbie then spending the past six years at Richard Ward. And most exciting of all, he has just joined the Atelier, which is full of other creative and highly sought-after hair pros including Josh Wood, George Northwood and Bantika Elsley.

So how do you get hair looking as glossy as Kate’s? “It’s all about the foundation of the haircut,” Pryce tells us. “Getting a good precision cut is paramount. Once you have a good shape you can then texturise the hair, so it’s essential”.

With a Jubilee coming up, surely you’ll want tip top Kate-esque locks too? To book an appointment with James, call the Atelier on 020 3393 0977.
