Jade Thirlwall explains why she still hasn't met Perrie Edward's baby
It's been all go on Little Mix over the last few months. From Jesy Nelson leaving the band and all the drama that came with it, to the fact that within weeks of each other Perrie Edwards welcomed a baby boy named Axel and Leigh-Anne Pinnock welcomed a pair of twins. Well, somehow amongst all the drama Jade Thirlwall hasn't actually got round to meeting Axel yet, but as she recently revealed during an interview, she's got a pretty good reason.
Speaking on Jessie and Lennie Ware's Table Manners podcast the 28-year-old explained that she hasn't had a chance to meet baby Axel because she's been handling the band's work as the band gears up for the release of their greatest hits album "Between Us" later this month.
Telling the show that she's been doing "the whole shebang" Jade explained, "I’m happy to, because I'd hate to be at home twiddling me thumbs, I like being busy, I like working. So, I'm more than happy to do it while they're resting up... Well, not resting."
"I went to see them not so long ago and they’re beautiful," she said of Leigh-Anne's twins with her fiance Andre Gray. "I haven’t seen Perrie's yet, I'm going to go and see her soon.
"I wanted to give them a bit of space. Because we are literally sisters and obsessed with each other. But I didn't want to intrude, or remind them of work, too soon. So, I've given them a bit of time," she explained.
Jade, who said she'll be fulfilling the role of the "fabulous rich auntie" also explained how it feels seeing her best friends become mothers.
"It's very strange seeing them as mams, because I always see us as kids still. I don’t know why."
It's all pretty adorable and overwhelming isn't it?!
