Jacqueline Jossa calls for 'more curvy girls' on Love Island as she celebrates her 'lumps and bumps' in inspirational post

Jacqueline Jossa was praised for her “inspirational” body positivity post as she called for Love Island to feature “more curvy girls”.

The former EastEnders actress, who is married to Dan Osborne, celebrated her own body as she urged people to “love themselves” and paid tribute to her own “lumps and bumps” after having two children.

“If anyone is feeling a little gutted that they don’t look exactly like the Insta models or love island ladies,” Jossa wrote. “Please know it’s so hard to love yourself for who you are and not find faults in many parts of yourselves. Every single person has something they don’t love about themselves!

“It was a big change from being 21 and slim, size 8 to all of a sudden a mother and a different body all together. I want to thank my body, my lumps and bumps for everything! I love you! Truthfully I honestly don’t really care what people think of my body because I love it! I’m still working on it but that’s okay!”

Jossa, 26, went on to say that she “never thought she would feel sexy” after having two children and “thought it would be the end of the road for bikinis” before embracing her body.

She finished: “Would be nice to see some more curvy ladies on Love Island this year. They are all beaut and every size is beautiful! I just think we should celebrate every size a little more.

Fans rushed to comment on Jossa’s latest post, praising her “honest” speech and backing her call for Love Island to have more body diversity.

One wrote: “Love this. You have an amazing body!!! I try to be body positive especially in front of my daughter. I want her to love herself and not be body conscious as I have been x.”

Another said: “Big shout out to you for this picture! We need more women coming forward and doing this... you’re beautiful inside and out xx.”

“Absolutely love this post!! It is so hard to love yourself and we can all pick faults with every lump, bump and stretch mark but life’s too short to worry about it #yolo #curvygirlsrock,” added somebody else.

Others hailed it as the “perfect post” and labelled Jossa a “brilliant role model” for speaking out on social media.

Jossa shares four-year-old daughter Ella and Mia, 11 months, with Osborne. The couple married in 2017.

Love Island's line-up has faced a backlash after fans were left unhappy at the absence of any "plus-size" contestants. Former stars Alexandra Cane and Malin Andersson were among those condemning the lack of body diversity.
