YouTuber Jaclyn Hill has revealed that she has been forced to take a break from social media as she is prioritising her health and spending 6-8 hours a day with doctors and therapists.

Jaclyn has been incredibly candid with her followers in recent months on her social media platforms. Opening up about her struggles with anxiety and depression, the trolling she has received around her weight and her most private admission yet, that she's been "self-medicating" with alcohol.

All of those things combined are a lot for one person to handle, which is why Jaclyn's fans were concerned when she warned she was close to breaking point earlier this month.

Thankfully, Jaclyn has taken to Twitter again to reassure fans that her social media break is important in order for her to focus on her health and prioritise her recovery.

"This is extremely hard for me to talk about for many reasons.... but I know a lot of people are wondering why I’m so absent on socials recently," she wrote.

" I’ve decided to make my health my #1 priority. I briefly opened up about it in my video but it’s very deep and I need help."

"For the past couple of years I’ve completely neglected ME," she continued. " I’ve focused on people around me and my career but I’ve totally let myself go in the meantime. I am working with an amazing team right now to detox my body & get myself back to where I need to be."

"I know you guys want makeup tutorials and videos. So do I! But I am currently spending 6-8 hours a day with doctors, IV’s & therapists because I am determined to get back to where I need to be. Please understand that I love you & can’t wait for our future."

"But in this time of my life, I have to put myself first. Before anything else. I hope you understand & I can’t wait to get on the other side of this & share my journey with you!"

We have so much respect for Jaclyn for sharing her journey and we hope everyone takes her experience as an important reminder to be kinder to one another online.
