The red carpet has seen some pretty extra dresses this year.

From Tracee Ellis Ross' puffy Valentino number at the Emmy's, to Lady Gaga's feathered dress at Venice Film Festival and, most recently, Kendall Jenner's dazzling near-naked dress at the Fashion Awards.

In with a late entry for 'most dramatic red carpet dress of 2018' is none other than Jenny from the Block, Jennifer Lopez.

This week the singer and actress embarked on a promotional tour for her latest flick, Second Act. As part of the press tour, J Lo rocked 12 different outfits in 72 hours - and counting.

From a Sally LaPointe sequin two-set to an all-white ensemble complete with coordinating cape, the star's 'casual' day looks brought the glamour. But, it was at the premiere for her new movie where J Lo really pulled out all the stops.

Arriving in a puff of neon pink tulle (very on-point for 2018), J Lo was engulfed in a Giambattista Valli creation. The Italian designer is famously known for his fabulous frothy designs but this couture number was even more of a spectacle than usual.

Featuring a sweeping train that could easily rival Rihanna's much-memed Met Gala dress of 2015, the hot pink number had to be transported to the event in it's own private bus, as documented on Instagram by J Lo's partner Alex Rodriguez.

Trust J Lo to make the most show-stopping red carpet entrance of the year, just days before the end.
