J.Lo put on a string bikini and heels for this 'behind the scenes' video

Summer has arrived, and if you’re in need of some poolside inspiration, Jennifer Lopez is out here doing her thing. By which, I mean twirling in a string bikini, high-heeled mules, a casual silk robe, and some Versace sunglasses. As she put it, summer mode: activated.

She looks stronger than ever, and if you're wondering how, know that the Marry Me puts in work at the gym. David Kirsch, one of J.Lo's former personal trainers, gave Vogue an insight into her exact workout routine.

'We mix some cardio, plyometrics, full-body, core and lower body into her workouts—they are very, very intense and she takes it very seriously, which is exciting for someone like me. You say, "we’re going to do this", and she’s like, "great!"' he said. 'Her workouts are fast-paced. She’s very focused and high energy.'

Some of Kirsch's go-to moves include sumo lunges, sidekicks and plyometric squat jumps.

'Jennifer and I do a lot of platypus walks with a wide stance. Also known as a sumo walking squat,' he added. 'It’s great for your inner thighs and butt.'

Jennifer also does single leg deadlifts, boxing, and Pilates, her trainer told Vogue.

One of her other trainers, Dodd Romero, told Oprah Daily that Jennifer works out four to five days a week for at least an hour at a time. 'We’ll go until everything’s sore and we’ve hit every body part,' he told US Weekly.

Need more inspo? Another of J.Lo's former trainers, Jay Cardiello, shared a complete glute workout with us, inspired by her usual routine. It involves everything from squat jumps to fire hydrants, and judging by WH UK staffer, Olivia Gilbert's results, it's seriously effective for building butt strength.

Food-wise, Jennifer’s personal chef previously told US Weekly that her fridge is always stocked with sparkling water and plenty of fruits and veggies.

'There’s always greens like spinach, cucumber, and celery to make green juice,' he said, adding that eggs and turkey bacon are also on the breakfast menu.

Take notes, everyone! J.Lo knows what’s up.
